LA Explodes in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Championship
The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an translator.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

In contrast, the team owner was met with a less warm welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show Walter taking the stage to a combination of cheers and jeers, with jeers punctuating his address.
The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
